My friend, Joy Stocke, recommended this book to me. At the time my mother had already suffered from Alzheimer's for years and my father and I were struggling to get her appropriate care. I found the book very useful, but Dad, who had a lot less resources, really relied on the information. I know he pored over it and found many revelations and insights into my mother's behavior. Thank you for sharing this important information.

I just returned from a conference where I had the great fortune of attending a talk given by Ms. Kerr. What an enriching experience! Ms. Kerr is remarkably articulate and generous in sharing her powerful mix of personal experience and professional research. As a pet therapy volunteer with Hospice I will be using her inspiring advice all the time, and simply as a human being I am better for having heard her enlightening perspective on caring for families touched by Alzheimer's disease. Thank you, Patti, for your valuable contribution!!!

It is always a great thing when someone can turn something that seems bad and crazy at the time ant turn it into a teaching and comfort tool for others. Keep up the great work, in all you do .
